10 Amazing Things You Don’t Know About Thailand

Thailand for me has always been this mystical land where on one hand you have ultra modern amenities – and on the other deep rooted traditional values – Thai people have very well made a balance between the two. Today Thailand has become one of the ‘hot spot’ for tourists coming to Asia from all over the world. Like any other nation – Thailand too has some very interesting aspects to it – that today we are going to explore. I am sure some of the information provided will be an eye opener – and will definitely change your perspective towards this country.

1- In Thai language the meaning of the name Thailand is ‘Prathet Thai‘, which actually means “Land of the Free”. To an extent this makes perfect sense – as Thailand is the only country in Southeast Asia that was never colonized by a European nation.

10- Thailand is also home to an amazing creature known as the mudskipper, which is basically a fish that is capable of walking on land and climbing trees.
